In March 2012 Priontex acquired Malachite Medical Pty Ltd, a South African supplier of disposable surgical drapes and gowns.
The Malachite team brings a wealth of experience working with national and multinational companies, and a vision to be a world class African healthcare company, partnering with key technology players in order to add significant value to both the patient and strategic healthcare partners.
Priontex recognises that in order to increase its presence in the Southern African hospital sector, it needs to enhance its current portfolio of reusable drapes and gowns, to include a range of disposable products. The Malachite brand of high quality disposable drapes and gowns allows Priontex to present a broader base of healthcare solutions to a wider market.
The incorporation of Malachite supports the Priontex mission to be the preferred provider for the South African theatre environment.
